you don't impress me at all... :p

Humans have evolved and improved throughout the ages, in a lot of aspects. I'm going to talk about one aspect, impressions. People, now, have even more ways to leave good impressions.

An example is that, they used to be mean quite openly. But now, they'll just be mean subtlely, or just behind your back, so that they would not change much of the good impressions you have of them.

Another example is that, in the past, there were people who were good (e.g. kind, courteous, generous, etc...) to others and they did it from the bottom of their heart. Most would not do it if they don't mean it. Now, most would do it to give others a good impression.

... Why does impressions matter sooooooo much now? Were we more ignorant? Was real talent more appreciated than fake talent? Actually... I think, in the past, if you tried to give a good impression to others, most people would tease you and/or would wonder why you were doing this. Now, it's the norm/(acceptable behavior) as most of us would want to show a good impression to others.

Apart from behavorial impressions, even more people are putting in even more effort to improve their physical appearances. The ways range from using products, working out, facials, to the more extreme methods like surgeries and.... etc.. :p

I believe that in the future future, everyone would be very familiar with all these. If this situation happens, i'm quite sure that there would be some who wouldn't want to be in the same league as everyone else, they would want to be even better than others, to achieve better results in a shorter time, with longer-lasting effects. But what else would they try by then? What else can the world think up by then?

... ... I think my view is kind of extreme. It should be okay if anyone doesn't go overboard with giving good impressions... :/
