Many a times, I think we tend to overdo things when we want smth so badly. (like searching for love) It usually backfires (maybe just for me), and comes out the wrong way when this wanting becomes dsperation .
think it will also depend on the intent of why you want that particular thing.. maybe you can try a different way of getting what you want.. the results might be different..
