no ne ed

" All conflict arises from misplaced desire.
The only peace in all the world that is sustaining is Internal Peace.
Let each person find peace within. When you find peace within, you also find that you can do without.
This means simply that you no longer need the things of your outside world. "Not needing" is a great freedom. It frees you, first, fro mfear: fear that there is something you won't have; fear that there is something you have that you will lose; and fear that without a certain thing, you won't be happy.
Secondly, "not needing" frees you from anger.
Anger is fear pronounced. When you have nothing to fear, you have nothing over which to be angry. You are not angry when you don't get what you want, because your wanting it was simply a preference, not a necessity. You therefore have no fear associated with the possiblity of not getting it. Hence, no anger.
You are not angry when you see others doing what you don't want them to do, because you don't need them to do or not do the particular thing. Hence, no anger. You are not angry when someone is unkind, because you have no need for them to be kind. You have no anger when someone is unloving, because you have no need for them to love you. You have no anger when someone is cruel, or hurtful, or seeks to damage you, for you have no need for them to behave any other way, and you are clear that you cannot be damaged.
You do not even have anger should someone seek to take your life, because you do not fear death.
When fear is taken from you, all else can be taken from you and you will not be angry.

Need nothing. Desire everything. Choose what shows up.
Feel your feelings. Cry your cries. Laugh your laughs. Honour your truth."

treat or treat

I will be transferred to another department at LTA tommorow.. for the last week of my attachment. So, Mr Ng gave me a lunch treat :o

This is ting, who always lend me her mobile internet, who I have lunch with most of the time, who I talk to most of the time, who also helped me a lot with my attachment. Anyway, both Mr Ng and ting, are not from LTA.

They didn't eat too much, so i ate most of the food, so I was sort of the "rubbish dump"... but i didn't mind :p

Last afternoon sky at my current site at amk.

I will do what i feel like doing.

envious!!!

My brother, secretly, went to attend driving lessons since last December, and just passed his driving test today... I kind of respect him for being able to pay for the lessons himself and being able to attend them while attending school, before he graduated one or two month's back, and working part time... I will ask how he did it and i'll just follow :o

BAlls

Haha.. I've been applying the magician's theory lately.. And i find it a bit amusing that i can actually change my thinking and see things in another light when i'm having any negative feelings... I don't think I'm very good with it though... yet... I will keep practising until i get better :o

Today, I was reminded of the feeling of "balls shrinking" :s I was climbing up this scaffolding and it was quite tall, around 3 to 4 metres. And there were gaps on the floor that i was at :s Too bad that my camera is with my sister today, so i couldn't take any photos :/

no need

"Appropriate" behavior is not always the behavior that's in what you call your "best interests". It is rarely the behavior that brings you the most joy.

Enjoy everything.
Need nothing.
[Including people?]
Including people.
Especially people. Needing someone is the fastest way to kill a relationship.
[But we all like to feel needed.]
Then stop it. Like to feel unneeded instead - for the greatest gift you can give someone is the strength and the power not to need you, to need you for nothing.
-quoted from "Conversations with god- Book 2"

hungry reminder

Whenever you order too much food and you can't finish it..
Whenever you feel that the food you eat is not good enough for you...

magicians, we are..

Here are some good meal offers for students that i saw on the papers... last week :p

Thank you to Mg Ng again :o (He also bought me a Kit Kat today :o)

Together with marc, I went to collect my race pack for adidas sundown the previous saturday. The guy on the photo, was the first to queue up and was said to have been at the queue up area since 9.15am, when everybody reached there at only around 10.30am. And he was sitting down while everybody was standing up.... so kiasu and inconsiderate right? .... :s ... ... ... .......I don't know what else to say le... Actually the guy in the photo is marc and i was with him :p We thought that everybody would reach early and as he had to work in the afternoon, we decided to go early. But it turned out that it wasn't necessary.

I like this cup of cookies and cream :o And the seats are very comfortable. But if you want to find a nice seat, try to be there in the morning, because it would be quite difficult to find one in the afternoon, as during the weekends.

Imperfections and perfections... flaws.. Again, they are a bunch of very subjective and relative defining words. Everything and everybody is just who/what they are.

I think it's quite amazing.. I realized that we do have the power to make things look like what we want them to look like... to ourselves and/or to others.. We are less proficient with the latter because we cannot control what others think/do but we can control ourselves easily..

illusion

The world is an illusion, because everyone can choose to see things the way we want to see them.... I also feel that it is like a subjective reality..

I got a bit upset today, again, out of the way i saw things. When actually, it is not that person's intention. ... I felt a bit silly..

KIV

I have seen this in emails countless of times, but I always choose to ignore it, because I have seen it before. But i realized that all of us need reminders of what the more important things in life are.. so i read it again.... You just have to give it at most 5 minutes, and you'll know too..

"The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller building but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more
experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one
night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

ship ahoy :o

I don't want obligations to be the only thing holding my relationships together, be it friendships or loveships... I would rather they sink :o
