放下屠刀,立地成佛 = "Put down the killing knife, and become a Buddhist at once".
Since everything is transient and everything will come to an end on day, why hold on to anything? I think a lot of people will agree with buddhist teachings that everything (e.g. money, fame, life, love, etc..) is transient, but we just cannot let go of any of them :/ I used to think that i'm suitable to be a monk because i can let go of a lot of things. But, there's one thing which i can't. It is.... feelings. I can't imagine myself being devoid of feelings. And it's interlinked with the other things. So.. i can't become a monk... ... not that i'm looking forward to it la.. :p
