pulling "strings"... what strings?? :/

This morning, I flared up at my mom's shop. Normally, i would be able to control myself, but this time, my threshold was exceeded. One after another another after another........ aunty, asked me whether can i give them discount for the fruits they buy. These aunties only spent between around $3 to $10.... The thing i dislike, is that even though i said it's not possible, they use the relationship between them and my mum, as in, saying that they know my mom very well... :s and evEN, when i said no again, they'll ask me to ask my mom... :s After around 5 aunties continuously used this method, i just lost control and just let my mom and another auntie serve them, while, exclaiming that i cannot take it anymore that so many aunties ask us for discount, and how do they expect us to do business... :S The cost of everything is rising and they expect my mom to sell fruits at a lower price... :/ Now i know, normally, for those markets or places when you can bargain with the store assistants or owners, the selling price of their products should be a lot lot higher than their cost price. ... :/
