Notice the title of this entry. It's the time i took to run my laps for my 2.4! :) I got a perfect score today :o I was really so super nervous until i almost hyperventilated. My heartbeat was beating really fast because i was so pressured by myself to get gold so that i can get the sum of money to offset the extra money i used during the dec hols :/

When trying to win any "competition", sometimes people resort to backstabbing or other tactics to try to get in front of the others. I think, if you're not aiming to be one of the first few, you won't be caught up in the "tussle". Or another way to not be too involved in the "fight", would be for you to not to think so much, not to read too much into other's actions. But this may result in you being taken advantage of. hmmm.... When you feel that you've been taken advantage of, or being backstabbed, is it really true or is it only from your point of view? ...

Live Singing

We were walking out of Paragon after grabbing some bites to eat when we saw this group gathering around this central area. I thought his singing sounded like it's a recorded song.

I just realised that i'm working tomorrow and weds till closing.... errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr dao bao!! seriously! i shoudn't have said that i was able to work on the only 2 nights that i'm free... .. I still think it's super disgusting... :6

Today is the 2nd day of our CEE week. We, being our usual gien berngs self :p decide to enter ourselves in the lucky draw. We just have to sit down on a chair with a number stuck behind it. If the number is called out, we would win a prize. Only one person in our group won, and she got a free t shirt.
I was one of the contenders up there for the sms competition but i lost :( ... :p but at least i could say that at least i tried. My legs were wobbly the whole time :/ super nervous about being on stage... Whoever was the fastest to finish the sms picture of the dog on singtel's latest advert would win a sony ericsson hp.
We were cam whoring after we finished our dinner at at food centre near City Harvest Church.

I was thinking that, given our open society, there wouldn't be anybody showing outright discrimination to anybody. I was wrong. There are still people like this. Despite the fact that the discriminatee didn't hurt the discriminator in any way, the latter will still condemn the former. For what? ... ...

"butterfly" effect

The night sky has been quite clear these few nights.
Chris gave me an early birthday present. Think this is the first time in my life that i've ever received such a nicely wrapped, intricately designed present... :p It's super nice la.

I've heard the same thing again from Peter. Mingjian and Shaun have said something like this to me before. Apparently, it's like, i have quite a few friends (i'm not trying to say i have a lot k... :/ ) and i sort of almost treat them equally, and so i don't have any really good friends., because my time and attention is spreaded thinly among them. I think i should really wake up now and rethink how i should treat those whom i would like to grow old with. (hope this doesn't sound too corny :/ ) As long as one side does something, the other would, maybe slowly, but surely reciprocate. Just as what the words in the above picture says, "Two Way", that's what friendships and other relationships are like.

I want to set a personal target for me in this new year.
---I want to be brave enough to be able to tell off/educate those people who litter... those people who never give up their seats to people who need them more... those people who spit in public... those people who deliberately hurt others, especially if they're my friends... those people who tries to take advantage of me or bully me---
I came up with this target when i saw an indian lady threw a folded up paper on the overhead bridge, in front of me :/ I've came across these kind of scenes quite a few times and for each time, i couldn't muster up enough courage to go up to them and tell them what they did, was wrong. It would be different the next time... i hope :p

Mom's Bday

The weather is good again today :o
Today is my mom's birthday and my sis decided to treat us and her bf to a buffet. I wanted to arrange the food on the plate so that it would look appetizing but i don't think my attempt was successful :/

I almost got into an argument my friends in school today. MEAM are really small things that can destroy the foundations of any relationships easily. Misunderstanding, expectations, assumptions, miscommunication. If the foundation isn't that strong...It would be a clean destruction because no pillars would be left standing.. .

Bday wishes :p

Nowadays, as the weather has been a bit too cool, i put on my brown leather jacket/cool sweater :p and i slinged on my shuai-looking slingbag/bagpack. Then i put on my nice looking pair of shoes and went out of the house. Looking at the time on my watch, i realized that i was late for class. I quickly put on my spectacles, tranforming into a super clever person. Then i quickly invented a teleporter within 30 seconds and transported myself to my class immediately.

Yeah! I was helping my friend with this film that he was going to enter in a competition, and we're finally finished with the shoot. He's left with the editing only.. but there's no more work for me to do! :p
There's only 2 characters in this short film. Yiling and me. Up till now, i don't really know what's the story like... I only know it's a love story :p

I've learnt that, i can't act in serious roles or rather, i don't look good when my face is serious... :p

Mystery Solved

I've finally solved the mystery of the old man a few days ago. And i managed to take a photo of him this morning. Notice the person standing at the window. I'm not sure whether is he exercising his voice or something, because after he had finished shouting towards the direction of my block then he would go to the other end of his flat and start shouting. I knew that because i could hear a softer version echoing back to my block from the other side.
We started cam-whoring a bit in school again today. MJ's standing behind JR.
I met up with Shaun in chinatown today and due to miscommunication (most of it on my part :/), we couldn't find each other until we changed the meeting place.
Finally docked at Global Sounds Cafe and just chatted over there.

I was a bit happy when this 2 ladies who's sitting opposite shaun and me at maxwell, commented that we don't speak mandarin like locals. One of them said that our accent is more like those of Hong Kong-ers. :) .... I just feel happy that i sound like a foreigner :p

Banging into doors

You can notice a few people walking around the cars in the carpark. They're the campus security officers :o I took photos of them because i found it quite amusing that a few cars in a row were clamped and another few cars in the picture below have tickets stuck to their windows. Some are just warnings but some are fines :/
My friend's car is lucky :o He only got a warning although those cars which were behind him got fines.
We celebrated JR's bday again today :p haha... it's with another gang of people today, from student union.
He's acting like a "praying mantis" :o
... Sorry, i'm super tired.. Couldn't really come up with anything to say about today...

I crashed into the glass door at my workplace again :/ and i think i reacted a bit too kua zhang although nobody was noticing me. I was, like, covering my face and acting like i was in a lot of pain... haha :p I wouldn't have behaved like this if i were myself from one year ago.. think i got this not-afraid-to-act-ugly characteristic from JR :p

Super nice brownie! The one shown above is with peanut butter and chocolate cream.. i think :p there's lots of other flavours... anyway, i think the plain brownie is the best... because that's when you can taste the uninterupted original taste :o
I was walking along the path through this big field to my house when i gazed at the sky as i always do . Then i thought of taking some pictures with my camera as i thought the stars look pretty pretty tonight :p
But my camera isn't good enough to be able to capture the stars :/

School has been tiring for the past one week plus, but it was fun :) Crapping with friends again, eating and complaining about lousy food in the canteen :p, participating in school activities, eating the brownies and being able to win one... Sch rocks!!

JR mentioned that all of us has changed. I agree. Both good and bad experiences in school and outside, interaction with friends played a big part in influencing how we behave now. I think that i've changed for the better :o since i entered NTU.. So, i would like to take this opportunity to thank, firstly, MR Junrong!! and secondly, MR Mingjian!! ... hmmm... couldn't really describe properly how they helped me.. company, intro-ed their friends, school activities, confidence, crapping skills, advice... those are the keywords associated with them :p i'm sure there are other things that they've helped me with but i'm afraid i might sound too loh-soh if i list them all out :p ... i hope i'll not be too over confident of myself because i don't want to become somebody whom i'll despise or look down on.... May humility always be with me!! :p

Important

The most important thing in life... i believe... is to be happy. But often i see people pursuing those things that they believe, can make them happy... and most of the times, they'll lose focus and forget about their main aim. There are a lot of ways to be happy, not just one way. If one way fails, just go the other way. Don't be disappointed/sad if any way fails. Just tell yourself that it's no use worrying, and pick yourself up quickly and try the other way. There'll definitely be one way that works :o

Hey :o anyone wanna buy pineapple tarts. kuey bangkit (white powdery one), peanut cookies. egg rolls? The egg rolls cost $8, while the rest cost $10. Ermmm, even though your parents are doing shoppin for the chinese new year goods and snacks, you could just buy 1 or 2 containers from me to munch at home or on the way to work or on the way to school :p anyway, these are not baked by me. It's a canvassing done for my school's student union.
