When something makes you uncomfortable, instead of reacting immediately, hold that feeling in you and try to figure out the root reason. Then choose an alternative better-feeling way of behaving. Flight-and-flee or fight-and-control isn't that good a way to allow yourself to feel better.

I bought 6 of these for $3 at the monthly flea market which was held at red dot museum. It's kind of cute as these was made to resemble christmas crackers. Two people are supposed to hold two ends of the cracker and pull it at the same time. Supposedly, the cracker will explode and whoever is holding on to the longer end, will get to keep the prize hidden in the cracker.

I have one last one left.. Think finger puppets are inside it.. Will try it tmr :o

I went clubbing with a few friends last sat. I noticed that my friend wasn't interacting much with her bf. I believed that it will be fun if I get my friend to initiate to be sweet with her bf. So i suggested playing "scissors, paper, stone" with her and if she loses, she has to kiss her bf on the cheek. She lost :p After she approached her bf, who was a few steps away with his friend, to give him a peck on his cheek, she returned. Then I saw her bf having this surprised look, which soon turned into a smiling look. Then we played the same game again, which requires her to kiss her bf on the mouth this time around. ... She lost again.. hahaha.. She went up to kiss her bf and came back to us again. This time around, her bf approached her with a cheeky look, and hugged and kissed her... *awwwww* I super liked what I did :) hahaha..

I've been spending a lot of time hanging and catching up with friends. It has sorta been an eye opening experiences going to those new places. ... But are these all distractions? ... :8 I have always wanted to see new things, people and places.. *shrugs*

I like to drink Teh-O, especially after meals. It helps to remove the oily feeling any other random tastes in my mouth.

Indoor paintball with classmates. The good thing about it, was that it was very comfortable because of the air conditioning. The bad thing was that it was too comfortable and I felt too lethargic to move :s

My friend's dad gambles at MBS and has a free room. He invited a few friends over.. which I was included in la..

It was super cool and the scenery was quite fantastic. It is a lot like the view from The Peak in Hong Kong...

First time trying in coloured contacts.. I bought it because it was cheaper to get two pairs. As in, Candice bought one only, so I just got the other pair. I don't think it's very obvious in this photo. David said I looked super hiao and super gay with it.. haha..

I just find it funny, finding an asian cheap cuisine on a western atas menu.. haha..

I think I could get used to the high life.. sipping wine on Dempsey Hill, chit chatting with friends.. haha.. Kind of inconvenient though.. haha..

FAT BOYS has a lot of different kinds of burgers! And their names already sounds a lot more appealing than Botak Jones... :8 No offense to the restaurant.

I think this is the first time I enjoyed Japanese curry. Think it is because i was able to specify the level of spicyness that I want. I'm just not happy with the amount of ingredients :/

I have been spending most of my time with my friends, and with the little me-time i have, I waste it on manga and anime :s I wanna give myself more time to work on myself.

I want to be a better person. I've been quite diligent in my daily morning exercises and swim/run/workouts, and I have not really been binge eating. So the physical part has been taken care of. For the mental part, hmmm... I do try to read the papers once in a while... :p I guess I should also incorporate the reading of notes for the modules of the previous sem. Maybe half an hour each day? For the spiritual part, which would simply be translated into self-reflection and taking action on it part... I don't know what to do for it.. haha.. :8

I learnt something interesting today. This door-to-door sales lady was selling her herbal products and she shared with me a method to obtain vitamins and minerals through natural means, instead of getting them through supplements.

She said that the fresh milk that are sold in supermarkets, has something taken out of it after it is obtained from cows. That particular thing is being taken out to create butter, ghee and other dairy products. The fresh milk that are sold in supermarkets, has preservatives and other stuff added to it. So, to remove the preservatives and additives, boil a glass worth of milk until it bubbles along the side in the saucepan. This is an indication of the preservatives being "destroyed". Then, add a teaspoon of ghee, flat, to it and mix it with the milk, and cook it till it boils. Then you can put in a bit of honey and drink it. As ghee is being used, it is not recommended to eat or drink other stuff 3 hours before or after, otherwise, you have to prepare to gain that extra weight :s

Oh yaa.. another thing that she share with me, is that our liver will not be functioning well if we take too much things from the three categories, cold, cooling and acidic. Tea and seafood are part of them :s

ohh! one last thing, actualy, bread isn't a good thing to eat often. She said, yeast actually causes the "heart or blood to harden".. I forgot whether which she was talking about... :p

I went to this clinic last friday. My friend said that the doctor is quite good in helping people with muscular injuries. I was very blur when i went in because didn't know what the process will be like. I guess, on hindsight, I was like, talking to a friend. He shared with me his knowledge on my injury and what i could do to improve the situation, while slowly finding out the possible causes of it, by feeling parts of my legs. He even did a deep tissue massage for my quads which really helped to loosen up some of the tension.

I spent $110 on the consultation but it is useful. I didn't know that muscles that are too tensed up may affect the joints that are connected to it, and that muscles that are weak, will sort of cause the other muscles around it to work more, to compensate for that.. and this is not really good. Apart from the usual doctor's prescription, he also typed out a recovery plan for me.. haha.. It consists of three types of stretches that I have to do everyday. Found it quite interesting and amusing.. haha..

and before i forgot, I ate at this Punggol Nasi Lemak shop opposite the clinic. It was ex. pen. sive. :s think it cost ard 60% more than usual nasi lemak. But the dishes were tasty laa.. Was a bit sian because I was alone in that area and there were no one to explore the food shops over there..

Interesting photos for the past weeks..

Visited this restaurant at Punggol because I wanted to visit Punggol waterfront. These dishes each cost $5 only!!

After dinner, we walked and walked.. and walked.. We found ourselves in Pasir Ris after walking a long and lonely tar road for 1 hr plus :s ...... Need to do research on the directions next time!!

Next incident, I waited for a seat at Starbucks for around 30 minutes just because I want to use the powerpoint next to it.. haha... The couple occupying the seats were eating ba gua only, they didn't even buy any drinks from starbucks. They wouldn't have moved away if I didn't approach the the husband.. I was so impressed with my bravery! :) haha...

Had a preview of Gardens by the Bay :o Our GESL group went there for a site visit. For those who don't know what is GESL, it's Group Endeavours in Service Learning, In a nutshell, it is a module which allows us to have full autonomy to provide service to the community for a short or long period. Our group is going to design learning journeys for a young audience to this place, maybe it will be designed for primary school students.

This actually allows the hall to have a purple glow as the lights are being switched on at night.

The white stuff hanging along the railings are cotton wool, which was supposed to be cobwebs. Guess the rain and wind just got to it.. :/

I went to swim after I left my school bag in my hostel room. Noticing the dark clouds approaching, I've already prepared myself. And sure enough, after I've swam for around 30 minutes, it just started raining, which was accompanied by lightning and thunder. The lifeguard blew his whistle and i just headed straight to the toilet. As I showered and was drying myself in the toilet, I just stopped midway, wondering whether there was a need for me to dry myself since I have to walk back to my hall in the rain... haha..

I have always wanted to walk in the rain and just feel the rain splatter on my face and body. Lucky that I have nothing with me except my towel and room key.. Something that would have made the walk in the rain perfect, is that the rain could be a lot heavier, and there could be more lightning and thunder :o ... haha...

I believe that most of us, when faced with the chance of losing something or someone forever, have the urge to keep it even closer with us, at the extent of attaching even more emotions to it or the person.

And when we do lose it/him/her, the part of us that we have attached to it, is gone too. .... I dunno whether this will help, but try imagining that you want a part of yourself to be with that thing or someone, maybe to give that person your blessings...? By giving a part of yourself, it doesn't mean that you are any lesser than what you were previously. Somehow, it means that although you have loved someone before, it doesn't mean your capacity to love has been reduced. You can still and will still be able to love someone or something to the same or even greater extent.

I visited the halloween night at USS on sunday. I wasn't really frightened by the roaming zombies but i was kinda impressed by the whole set and the effort on the make up. The haunted houses could be more frightening if they limit the number of people walking together :s

For a long time, I believe that true love does not last forever and promises cannot be kept. This is why I have never expected anyone to promise a love that is forever.

Then my good friend told me that she and her husband did not promise to love each other forever, except only during the vows. Instead, they promised not to let each other down forever... I think I'm going to use this, the next time I enter a relationship.

There are a lot of good values being taught in anime and manga. Recently, there is one which fascinates me. It is "Toriko".

It can actually incorporate information about things in reality into its fantasy food... sometimes.. :p This actually exemplifies a point which was taught in my infocom lesson. Obtaining knowledge can be fun and interesting when the medium used is engaging. I thought it is super cool :o I always knew that anime/manga demonstrates positive values, but this is the first time that I noticed a manga including "real world information?".

Meranti (Life journey)

After today's Meranti, I realized a lot of things about myself. About how I became the person I am now. I am just going to share this out so that I will remember what I learnt today.

in the first five years of my life, I grew up in my aunt's home. I forgot whether I went back home.. For the main part of my children-life, I didn't feel that my parents showed me a lot of care and concern.. If any of you know about the bronfenbrenner's circle, the immediate circle outside me, the thing that impacted me most directly, was books. I like to read :o and I guess I took the characters in the books as role models.. And if you have read any books before, you will know that the main characters always display the correct values and character... So, I know what the proper way to behave, is. But I feel this isn't enough. My self-identity wasn't strong enough, and till today... maybe it is due to the lack of affirmations that I had when I was young. Between p4 and secondary school, I was the attention seeking boy. From going into the class early in the morning to scare people, to bringing of toys to class and playing tricks on a few unsuspecting teachers.. Maybe getting attention is a way of affirming that I am something..?

In my primary school, I used to get good grades. As I didn't feel motivated to study, my grades just began to drop, and stayed low all the way till Junior College. I was in a good primary school and secondary school but I guess I took them all for granted. I just flitted through life like a ghost. And I think, being the introvert that I am, I kept thinking about myself, how others view me and I didn't really bother myself about the outside world. I think I took a lot of external help and factors for granted. And I didn't have any attachments with anything or any person. No favourite activity, no favourite hobby, no favourite person...
it was only in the army that I started realizing that family is important. Guess it was because it was the first time that I was away from a familiar environment for so long...

In university when I was studying civil engineering, again, I had no motivation until the last semester when I studied this module called "conditioning of physical fitness". It made me realize that actually, I was able to have interest in studying. Guess this was one of the factors that encouraged me to take up teaching physical education as a career.

I guess fate has its mysterious ways of working its power. From the first email advert about the recruitment of primary school PE teachers, to the signing of bond.. Seriously, I wasn't sure about becoming a PE teacher before this Meranti course. Now I realized that, it could be a chance for me to fill up this gap in my life, by showing attention, giving affirmations, motivating my students, while providing them with an education in academics and values.

*On hindsight,

the lack of showing of care and concern by my parents, may be because they're the traditional kind who doesn't express their love freely, or they may not know how to express it.
I will remember to affirm actions and behavior of people.
And I will appreciate all the good things that are happening in my life now, no matter whether they are external or internal factors.

Anyway, I felt that sharing of life journeys is a way of telling each other that we all have our own struggles, and we got through them, and this is no different from whatever that will happen in the future... And me, who thought that i was quite aware of myself, realized that i never did sit down and reflect through seriously about how i got to be who I am now. If you decide to try it, and are okay with it, you could share with me and some others your life journey. You never know whether the people who are going to be affected by it, will get to read your story...

One reason that I thought up of today, was that I've been struggling to feel comfy with my coursemates in school. Guess it will take some time for them to warm up to me and vice versa..
Anyway, I am getting better after spending time with comfy friends. I realized that there was little possibilities of myself getting better if I kept spending time with myself :s

Super Whiny post

I guess... because of my introverted nature, I've grown into this person who is very used to depending on myself, who thinks that my opinion matters most to myself. I talked to myself a lot during my secondary school days. I told myself various reasons to justify some of the "bullying' that I've gotten from my good friends.. I told myself that, whatever happens to me, is for good reasons, e.g. for me to get stronger, for me to learn how to deal with certain people, is for a fair exchange ( both parties get what we want, e.g. bullying for companionship..) Most of the time, i won't believe what i say, and I'll just be sad.. But I thought it is all worth it when friends still stayed with me.

Note: maybe there weren't any bullying at all.. just that I didn't know what to say and react..

Then during my JC days, I think i entered this "don't know what's important" stage. Spent so much time alone just because I thought that I couldn't communicate with the rest of my class who were mainly an English-speaking bunch. I used to skip classes, and would go to the starbucks opposite my sch to try to read my notes and do my work. As a result, I spent an extra year in J1. For the next two years in JC, I spent my time within a small circle of friends again. Don't dare to know new friends because I don't know how to banter with people and I am not interesting company..

... This just got me thinking that I am still the same now.. I was like this in NTU, and I am still like this at NIE. I started getting nervous recently, when I was told to introduce myself during lessons. My heartbeat will get faster and my breathing will speed up... And I will stutter for a while.. ... I am jealous. ... yes, I'm jealous. Not envious. I'm jealous of my brother and sister. My mom gave them some money because she won some in the lottery.

Actually, I feel happy for them, because they deserve it. My sister helped the family a lot, and my brother helped the family a lot too... Does it mean that I didn't help my family much? ... Maybe it does..

I just went to ask my mom whether she can give me some... haha... And she said she will give me some to buy new clothes for my sister's wedding. Then i refused to get it from her... I feel lousy.. haha.. :( .. Firstly, it's because she didn't give me out of her own initiative. Secondly, I don't think that i deserve it any more than my brother and sister...

It was different as what I had expected. He is quite mild-mannered and shy. And he is quite serious when he's listening or talking... I felt comfortable hanging around with him. And this.... shows that stereotyping doesn't work :o

J and me finally went down to use my xiao long bao groupons :o I've been procrastinating for so long and I even got the extension of the deadline from the manager of paradise dynasty as i was one of the hundred plus ppl who turned up on the last day.. :p Thank you manager!!

Anyway, we did a taste test on the various flavours and the results are posted below the photo.

I realized that it's useful to attend lessons at NIE now, because I feel that we are given a chance to observe how our teachers teach us. It does help to a huge exent, to have some good role models.

I had two horrible experiences with haircuts recently. The first horrible one "manhandled' my hair, cut it thin, and just maintained a certain hair shape, seemingly with no regards as to how he cut it. The second one, due to a miscommunication, gave a fringe a good shave the instant his shaver touched my hair. In the end, he had to cut my hair in a very short fashion. And I don't know whether it is because of his guilt, that he left the other parts of my hair a bit longer than my front corners. It means, the hair at the back of my head, my sides and my top centre, are a bit longer. He said that this is a kind of "malek" hair cut..... I am not suited for this kind of haircut....... :s

On a different note, I was at Batam for 2 days last week. My friend and I shared the same thinking about what were the most memorable things over there. The top 3 things are, 1) omelette from the International Breakfast Buffet (just because it was the only thing that was piping hot), 2) ramlee-like burgers at a shopping centre, 3) curry puffs from a hawker centre. The only shopping that could only be done there, is at their supermarkets.. :s I even had a slight pickpocket incident that happened to me. There was a slight nudge at my small sling bag at the back, so I slinged it to the front as I thought I was blocking someone from moving forward. This guy walked past me with his hands outstretched and walked further away. As I glanced at my bag, I was taken aback as the zip was halfway across the bag, and i can see my wallet clearly. I was still slightly tramatized for a few hours after that as I had never expected that to happen to me.... Here are some photos to show what I had done over there...

Recently, the idea of inspiring children to do better in their studies came back to me as I gave Math tuition to my students. The content just didn't seem as important as the attitude towards the subject... Coming to think of it, I would prefer to be able to inspire my kids with the proper attitude towards studying, so that they will want to do better, on their own.

I just signed up for 2 credit cards yesterday from citibank. And these weren't the cards that I wanted to sign up with :s My friend had done some research and found out that Citibank Dividend card is the best, compared to the other citibank cards. As I was within the area of a citibank branch, I went in, with the idea of signing up for that card. In the end, I applied for the SMRT and rewards cards, after some persuasion from the promoter. I also went to sign up for the dividend card just now, with the idea in mind that, I can terminate the other cards after some more research.

... After I did some research on my own yesterday and just now, I decide to keep the smrt and rewards card too. I know that I will be confused by the number of cards, but i think each card really has its benefits.

Anyway, I also decide to sign up for the posb everyday card. :s

POSB everyday card:
Rebates (from where I may shop/spend): Cash rebates can be redeemed from Watsons (3%), SP Services (1%), Starhub bills or purchases made at Starhub (1%), ez-reload (2%), Carrefour (5% but capped at $400 per month).
Citibank Dividend Card:

A cash cheque should/will be sent to you every quarter. There's 2% cash back for dining, excluding food and dining spent within hotels, and wedding banquets held in hotels. 2% for groceries, pharmaceuticals and 0.5% for everything else. Actually there's 5% for petrol but I do not drive :/

Citibank SMRT card:
For this card, the rebates come in the form of SMRT$. It's 5% for groceries if the monthly statement exceeds $600, if not, it's 4.7%. This is the same for coffee.. not at kopitiams :o okay, nothing else on the list for me. Maybe i will keep this card because the rebates can be used to claim for $10 vouchers (10 SMRT$ for 1 $10 voucher). The vouchers that I will most likely get, are the cold storage vouchers, POPULAR bookshop vouchers, sheng siong vouchers, or citibank SMRT vouchers which can be used to top up the card's ez-link card function, or watson's vouchers :o

Citibank Rewards Card:
The only reason why I'm keeping this card, is for shopping purposes.

"Under this Promotion, Cardmembers are entitled to earn X10 Citi Dollars (every S$ 1 charged = 10 Citi Dollars) when they make transactions with their Citi Rewards Visa Signature / WORLD MasterCard card at any department store worldwide or any retail store worldwide that sells clothes, shoes and bag as its main business activity."

Let's say that you spend $100 on shopping, you will get 1000 Citi Dollars. 5000 or 6000 Citi dollars can actually be exchanged for $20 voucher at isetan, robinsons, OG or paragon... It is like a 4% rebate. But, hmmm... After writing this out, I think there isn't a point for me to keep this card, because I don't shop much at these places!!

I am going to keep/get these three credit cards, POSB everyday card, Citibank Dividend Card and the Citibank SMRT card (-spend at least $600 for citibank SMRT to reap maximum rebates).

Just finished with the praying parts for my dad's death anniversary.. Really appreciate my brother for always helping out with home stuff, especially for the praying aspect. None of us in the family are as knowledgeable in this area, and none of us would prefer to spend so much time doing these things :s

I've always felt comfortable with my pace, the speed at which i learn new things, and the different type of things i expose myself to. But when i met my sec sch best friend yesterday, I remembered/realized again that there are a lot of things that my peers or people around my age care about, that I don't. Making money, success in careers, worldly-wise, intellectual chats... My friend was very nice because he didn't mean to say what's the right way to think or behave, just that I'm or we're different from people that he would like to hang out with. He wants to step out of this laid-back attitude, and we both agree that he should hang out more with people who think that way...

Looking around me... I feel that the people that I know, or at least what I know of them, are not the kind of people mentioned in the previous paragraph. Just imagining that I'm hanging out with them, :s, I should be super pressured. I guess I have to know someone nice and patient enough to bring me to have a glimpse of such kind of people ( hope I am not talking about them as though they are aliens.. :/ )

Having a one-month holiday because of the June school holidays, entering a blog entry at around ten in the morning at home.. :p , NIE school term starting at the end of July, and will have been to three/four countries in the hols :o I went to malacca at the start, then china/hong kong last week ( thanks to my friend who allowed me to help him with a bit of his work, so accommodation, travel and food was free.), then will be going to batam at the end of this hols :) Maybe the next sucky thing would only be my reservist (high-key), which is between my holidays and the start of my NIE term :/ I am still not close to the people over there and I have to spend 3 weeks with them. I don't like the feeling where others have to treat you good just because you have to spend time together, then after that, *pfffff* it's back to the normal life again. It just looks very fake to me, and what I dislike the most, is having to hide my real feelings, or seeing other people not being their normal selves... ... Maybe I am just thinking too much.

Updates for the past weeks...

Went prawning...

Went to this Imperial Jade Restaurant at Triple One, which is behind somerset 313.. I was quite surprised by the prices of the food as they were all around 10 plus dollars..

Then there was this day when I tried the fill-a-plate salad bar at Cineleisure.. For $8.90+, you get to fill your plate with whatever things they have at the bar. There isn't any meat, but you could add it to your plate at an extra charge.

It looks like I have this vegetable on my teeth... :/ It is actually just a gap.. Wanna go for braces soon :o

Then I went to Malacca for the first time last Sunday :o

We had this small adventure at the start of the day when we missed our stop. All because of someone who said that, that stop is just a toilet stop... and that person is me! ... :p We dropped off at the next stop after the JB stop, and no thanks to the train conductor, we did not know what to do or where to go. So, we had to walk back to the JB station... :s

I learnt something from Mak that day. Along the railway tracks, we saw some toilet paper lying around. I thought they were left by people who did their business near the tracks. Actually, they were dropped down from the trains that passed :o There is no sewage system on the train so whatever that passes through the toilet bowls, drop onto the tracks! ... :s ... yes, :6

I thought the saying above, was quite smart.. :p

I went kite-flying yesterday, but there is an error with the photos so the photos that I took yesterday, are gone.. :/

Recently, after reading through my "Conversation with God" trilogy, I remembered how my friend, Adrian, always give thanks to all that appeared in his life. In the books, it says that, whatever you give thanks for, it will appear. So a "cheating" way of allowing things that has not appeared your life, to appear, is to give thanks for it first ( really believing you have it), and it will appear. I wonder how he can make it a habit...

I remembered I did this for a while, but as the days passed, it was slowly forgotten.. The list below, consists of the things that I am grateful for, and would want them to stay in my life, and for even more of them to appear....

Money - I really want to thank ?? for always allowing me to have enough money to do what i want. Even when I am almost bankrupt, some sort of help will always arrive.
Love - I really appreciate all the love I have from my family, my friends, my loved ones and strangers and animals and everything else... :p even though, sometimes, I may not recognize the way they communicate their love to me... :6 Another thing to mention, I am really happy that there are friends who are still here, despite my lack in initiative to ask them out... Thank you!!!
Health - Thank ?? for my healthy body, that all my 5 senses and my four limbs are still working fine :o ... Especially my throat... I am super glad that it is working... :6
Looks - :) ...... haha...
Tuition assignments - Thank ?? for the assignments that arrived recently, so that I will not be too bored during the June hols, and that there will be extra income..

Missed my 2nd session of dragonboat training due to a relative who is in the hospital now... I was asked to go and see him because there were complications and if he cannot survive the difficult stages..... :s I left early just now and my brother told me that my uncle was given another injection, and things would be fine if he make it past the night... I was wondering whether my uncle wants to make it past this stage... (He is sort of in
a coma as he just had a brain operation last night..)

I have been more (less bored) for the past weeks :o because I've been more proactive in finding things to do...

started to go to gym again last week (which is once.. :p )
went to dragonboat for the first time last week
started exercising regularly...
bought clothes!! :p (this reminds me that I was a little depressed because of my wardrobe.. but it's okay now.. :p )

First time at Fitness First Gym.. and I attended the Body Combat class.. Quite shiok until the next two days when i felt the aches... :8

Despite hearing good reviews from one or two friends, the service at PS nandos isn't that great. and the portions served are quite small.. And the food there is definitely not suitable for people who cannot take spicy food :o

Yesterdy afternoon, I went to Sembawang Shopping Centre to buy this.

If you see carefully, you can see cheese stains on the plastic bag. It is because I was eating the cheese fries as I was walking home with the food... My hands were quite dirty by the time I reached home.. haha.

I think this is the first franchise in Singapore. The chicken chop costs around $4, and it comes in 3 or 4 different versions. There is the normal fried version, grilled with teriyaki sauce version and fried and grilled with teriyaki sauce version... With another $3 plus, you will be able to get fries (with either cheese, bacon bits with sour cream sauce, mayo, wasabi, etc...) and a drink :o

It's my first day of the three, that I have to stay at home and accompany my grandma. Long story short, my maid went back to her country for a week, and there is no one else available to take care of my grandma.

Actually, I think that I would be able to live alone. Just used the washing machine to wash some clothes, hung some clothes, swept and mopped the floor. I just need to get down to finishing up the school work that was left over from last term... :/

Take-home point for now... The expert way to feeling good, is not to have zero troubles. It is how you manage all your problems and still being able to feel good in the end.

I am not an expert... :/ can't handle my ah-ma problem... :/ You can teach a kid logic and common sense but for a senile person... He/She will start forgetting the things that he/she has learnt.... My ah-ma has been calling ah-di and ah-lan non stop for a few hours everyday, ever since last week... :sssss

During the pre and post-cny period, it has been very busy.... for my bro at least.. :6 He helped prepare most of the things required for prayers and for the dinner for relatives on the 2nd day of CNY.

This is the spread that he helped to prepare for that day. ... Come to think about it, he only helped to prepare 5 dishes (little?)... which were the most difficult to cook dishes.. :p

My grandma was still angry at me for the "argument" we had, during one week back and didn't give me any ang bao... :/ She's the one in the background.

I helped in the deep-frying and arrangements of some food :o

As the others were all chatting outside in the living room, I was in my room most of the time and not many people "dare" to enter.... which was fine with me la..

And speaking of health, I just found out that, for one of my health education lessons next week, I am supposed to go through the changes of a child as he/she goes through puberty... Think the kids will start to make a lot of noises again.. :/

Even the principal feels tired when she is looking at how I handle my PE classes... I gotta "hammer" the procedures into my p1 and p2 kids from next week onwards. No PE for them unless they remember and follow every instructions I give them :o

There is this person having the same profile pic and name as me on facebook now. That is not my second account or any other type of account. That is a fake profile. I messaged that person to stop it, but he has not changed the profile photo or name :s Reporting that profile isn't of much use as it is still there... :/.... I am kinda angry that he even used my personal details by saying that he is studying at NTU and working for MOE.... :SSSSS

I only have one facebook and a twitter account now. I have no other profiles or any other website or whatsoever... SERIOUSLY :o Please.. if you really happen to come across any of those profiles with my photos, please tell that person to f off... :/

It is not a matter of "at least someone wants to impersonate you". I don't think I should feel honoured by this/these action/s. That person is using me to know other people.................. :/just feel diaongz when ppl msg me to tell me that they talked to me before.. :s

I am soo going to start on my fit and healthy regime from today onwards :o This means, yong tau foo without sauce or other healthy foods, whenever I am eating out. And a major exercise once every two days! The ill-disciplined days are over!! Anyway, I can take this as part of the preparations for my training for my ippt test next month.

I think I should cut down on clubbing... :/

Bing Bing was saying that maybe her son can wear a t-shirt that says "Today is my birthday" on CNY... haha.. Then we continued to say that maybe she can wear a "Today is my son's birthday" t-shirt and etc.. haha.. Then I was just thinking what I would like to be written on my t-shirt.. Think I would like this "A smile for the birthday boy?".... okay, never mind. Think I am just trying too hard to write something for this entry.. :s

Just had a small life-is-really-good-to-me moment.. By right, I should be having lessons with my class tomorrow, but tomorrow's temporary timetable did not show that. I am lucky because I have not really prepared what I wanted to do for my class... :8

My mind is taking a back seat now, due to the day in school. I don't even feel like exercising later, and I am in need of some, seriously :s so apart from my heart, both my mind and body are.. "chilling" now.

David just reminded me about something which I have thought about. I want to start a business, which helps others feel better about themselves. It. Rocks. Seriously :o doing what I like, and earning money at the same time... what better job can I ask for??

I just feel that my mind and body are so tired that they cannot restrain my mind.. My mind is just flying here and there and everywhere... whee~ feeling like reaching out to touch the hearts of the people I know.... massage their hearts for them :o ... ... .. k, I shall stop talking "rubbish" :s

For those who don't know which exit to get to NEX, at Serangoon station, this sign should be of some help. I only saw this sign after I went to the station control to ask for help... This sign was in front of the station control :s

On Christmas day, the original plan was a barbecue gathering. In the end, due to the dwindling numbers, only 4 of us met up for a dinner. ... Actually, one came after dinner. But anyway, I passed them some gifts. Having prepared gifts for a few other friends, i actually didn't prepare any for pody and david. So on that day, I went to buy some things and wrapped it up for them.. :) Felt kinda nice when I gave it to them. They also bought me a solar lamp in return. Cool and cute :o

Zouk was super crowded last night. I was trying kinda hard not to lose my temper because of the people who were backing into me or squeezing behind me :s But it was still fun watching people fully into dancing the mambo steps.

Candice bought me this gift :o She said that the beard will be gone if I pour hot water into it... :p

I didn't really enjoy my experience at Marina Square Sakae Sushi. They only had two staff serving food during buffet time :/ Luckily, more staff appeared after 4..

Feels kinda strange because I haven't blogged for 18 days and not as frequent as in the past.. Need to get used to allowing my feelings and thoughts to flow out as easy as it is for me to breathe..

On the 17th of Dec, the suah-ku feeling set in as I reached the airport and boarded the plane. I know I felt suah-ku but it's not the embarrassing kind, rather, it's the excited kind.. :p

David and Pody teased me as I suggested taking photos with the station sign, as what a lot of other people did... In the end, all of us took photos with the sign... :p

There are quite a number of branches of Xu Liu Shan in HK, so we didn't have to worry about not being able to find any.

Ohh.. I just remembered, it was super cold when we first touched down in HK. I even had to put on three tops while we were boarding the ferry to travel from TST to Central, just to make the cold bearable.. :s

It was quite lucky that my friends gave me some recommendations for places to visit.

By a stroke of luck, we passed by this building in Mongkok. My friend said that this place, Pier 88 稻香超級漁港 is quite cheap and clean in comparison. The exact address is Shop B, 3/F, Grand Tower, 639 Nathan Road Mong Kok.

We enjoyed the dim sum over here. So much that they wanted to come back the next day... :s In the end, we went back on Monday, which is two days later.

First time tasting a 灌汤饺. Hope this is the correct term.. :/ .. :o

While we were on the cable-car, heading towards Lantau Island, we saw trekkers traveling on the tracks beneath us :s I was so impressed that I shouted to cheer them on.. :p

The "Avenue of Stars" wasn't that fantastic. The only thing that I regretted not doing, was a jump shot on the stretch of road. I just feel that a jump shot picture will be very nice with a whole stretch of road behind.

Although the temperature went up by a bit for the next few days, it was still super cold as we went up The Peak. But the scenery is nicee.

*This just came to me. I just remembered that either J or me wondered about why there are so few people in the HK airport... as in, not as much people as compared to the people in Changi airport. And I said that it could be because the HK students don't go to the airport to study.*

Breakfast of luncheon meat with cheese bun at Macdonalds :o

The steamboat buffet at 小肥羊 (there are a number of branches in HK) is quite expensive. It came up to SGD$30 plus per person. Met ben for dinner over there.

Feeling quite sinful with the lack of healthy food over at HK so I decided to have watermelon juice at 许留山 while they ordered mango stuff. I had not one, but two glasses :o

We were getting ready to get on the longest outdoor covered escalator system in the world :o The Central-Mid-levels escalators..

By another stroke of luck, we came upon another recommendation for nice milk tea and Macau pork Bun. The owner of the place is a super fan of Tan Yong Lin.

Tasted goose meat and authentic trolley noodles (车仔面) for the first time.

The symphony of lights :o I was expecting a lot of laser lights and/or fireworks but it was mostly the lights on the building that were moving and synchronizing with the music.

Even though having been warned, I was still a bit dazed when I was expected to hold up the serviette in front of me to block the sauce/oil from splattering on me as they poured it onto the food on the hotplate.

Funny thing that happened: When Jim opened his shoes package back at the hotel room, he asked me whether he was seeing things correctly.

Haha.. He had two shoes for the left leg. We had to go back the following day to exchange it.

Suprisingly, compared to normal noodles, 公仔面 and rice are more expensive over at HK.

Had hot Guilinggao (Herbal Turtle Jelly) for the first time... Tasty :o I only found out then, that, turtle shells are part of the ingredients used.

On the airport express train back to HK airport, I thought it was interesting and useful for them to display this.

The blue dots kind of represent the distance traveled from the previous stops.

You can actually get a full refund for the octopus card a.k.a. ezlink card. It is inclusive of the HKD$50 deposit.

Till today, I don't think I have rested enough to compensate for the 6 days of walking around in HK. :s

Oh... another thing to say.. Ever since I bought my new camera, I realized that it is very convenient for me to camwhore... :p

Being so connected via twitter/facebook/mobile phone has made me more apprehensive in replying to any msgs. If I am just bumming around, it is fine. But when I am with anyone else, or when I am focused on reading my comics :p or doing my other stuff, I just find it distracting... But it is none of my friends' fault. I just need to make sure that I give due attention to whatever "tasks" that I have on hand or to whoever I'm with.

It is the ex-est yong tau foo I have ever eating :o 6 pcs of ingredients with noodles/rice costs around $6. Think it's because of their gravy which consists of mushrooms and minced meat.. It is a stand-alone shop at somewhere between raffles place and tanjong pagar.

After a few tries, I've finally managed to win this soft toy. There is the machine in the arcade that allows you to maneuver this super small scissors into cutting the various strings holding different soft toys... Achievement much... :p

I think the weekend hi-tea buffet at Lao Bei Jing is better than their weekday versions.. more dishes and lesser people :o

We walked past this uncle pushing his own wheelchair very very slowly along the road from PS towards the direction of The Cathay. He wanted to go to Peace Centre which is beside POMO. :s Immediately, we just offered to push him to his destination. It was around 6 while his church service was starting at 7.30pm. Guess he expected the traveling time to take around 1.5 hours. :s

Sch, then friends, then sch, then friends... Recently, it seems to be like this for me. I haven't allocated much time to myself or for exercising. And I do not know whether it is because I am so lazy that I even came up with an excuse for myself for not exercising. "It is because I will need to have more fats on my body first before I can convert them to muscles." .. :6

The only thing that I was looking forward to, before I started teaching, is to start teaching. And since then, I guess the next thing that I am looking forward to, is the school hols. Am so ambitious right? ... :s ... Actually, another thing that I am looking forward to, is my birthday next year.. haha.. I just can't wait to pamper myself. Just the anticipation is enough to make me feel happy.. :)

... okay, one last thing to share. The topic of the plans for christmas came up over mj last night. I have this idea which consists of a fixed christmas menu potluck. For example, a fixed menu can be done up and friends can just pick any dish to prepare for the gathering. So it will not be the usual nuggets, fishballs or any other normal food which can be bought. We would have to prepare the dishes ourselves. ... But, I am not very desperate to make this happen... haha.. :8
